Postponement
Students who wish to postpone the start of a course must notify BLI beforehand. A new letter of acceptance will then be issued for a later date free of charge.
Cancellations
All cancellation notices must be submitted in writing by mail, fax, or email, clearly stating the intention to withdraw from the registered program. The registration and accommodation placement fees are non-refundable. In case of a visa refusal and the student must cancel their program, BLI will refund all payments, excluding the registration and accommodation fees.
Note: BLI requires the original Canadian visa refusal letter. Students must meet the following conditions to be eligible for reimbursement:
Before the program start date:
a) Less than 10 days after submitting registration: 100% of the tuition fee.
b) 31 days or more before the program starts: 70% of the tuition fee.
c) Less than 30 days before the program start date: 60% of the tuition fee.
After the program start date:
a) Between 1-10% of the program completed: 50% of the tuition fee.
b) Between 11–24% of the program completed: 30% of the tuition fee.
c) 25% or more of the program completed: 0% of the tuition fee.
Students may upgrade their program, but downgrades are not permitted. To reduce weekly lessons, they must cancel their current program and reapply for the new schedule. In such cases, the cancellation policy applies. If a student arrives in Canada with a BLI study permit, they forfeit their right to any refunds.
Homestay Refunds
The homestay placement fee is non-refundable.
Students wishing to change their homestay must provide 2 weeks' written notice to the Homestay Coordinator. A refund will be issued for 100% of the unused homestay fee.
Refund Processing Time
If eligible for a refund under the conditions mentioned above, reimbursement will occur within 90 to 120 working days following receipt of the written notice of cancellation.
Please note that the registration and accommodation fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
